- After signing
into your Hotmail account, go to Compose.
- From the File
Menu, go to View, Encoding and unselect the AutoSelect
option.

- Go to the icon
tray, you will see the VNI UNICODE keyboard icon.
- When you click
on the icon, the VNI UNICODE keyboard will switch between English
and Vietnamese language. You may also use teh combination of keys
"Alt + Z" to switch the language mode.
Keep the VNI UNICODE keyboard on Vietnamese mode.

Now,
you can go to the text field of your Hotmail and begin writing in
Vietnamese.

If for some
reason, the Vietnamese characters do no display correctly, go to
View, Encoding and select on the option "Unicode (UTF-8)"
Note: To
type in Vietnamese language, you can type according to VNI Tan Ky method
as displayed. You can type the vowel first and followed by one or few
of number key from 1 to 0 to add Vietnamese accents to the vowel.

For example, to type in "Chuùc
möøng naêm môùi" in the edit
box, you must type "Chu", type number 1 and continue
typing "Chuùc". To type "möøng",
type "mu", type number 7, 2 and continue typing "möøng".
To type "naêm", type in "na", type
number 8 and continue typing "naêm". To type
"môùi", type in "mo", type
number 7, 1 and continue typing "môùi".
